Frugality...(Is that even a word??)
We are being extra frugal lately and I have found an amazing book at the library which have given a whole new insight on budgeting (which to me is more visual and it just makes sense), and everything we spend money on from clothes and cars to entertainment. It is America's Cheapest Family. One of the ideas is not buying the lunch meat from the deli counter or prepackaged, instead buy the chub of meat from the meat section and take it to the deli for them to slice. Divide it into bags when you get home and freeze some. When you need more take it out of the bag put it in a plastic container in the fridge with a paper towel to absorb moisture and you have saved 5-7 dollars per pound. The meat chub is only about $1.19/pound as apposed to $6.99/pound for deli meat. Another fabulous idea is the budgeting but it is too hard to explain when typing, I just tried and deleted it all because it doesn't make sense. Call me and I can tell you, it is easier to explain verbally :)
