Pumpkins

We left Oak Glen and went to the Pumpkin Patch to get our pumpkins. We normally get our pumpkins at the same place but this time we wanted to try the other place. They had games and a corn maze and jump houses which we all $4 each, per kid so needless to say we did not participate in any of those activities. We let them climb up the FREE hay castle and then we went searching for the perfect pumpkins-1 for each of us. The Prince always has to have the perfect choice so he was the last one to choose his pumpkin after having looked over many. The princess chose hers in 2 seconds. We said "okay everyone gets to pick a pumpkin" and she said "Okay here is mine" We helped the boys pick and then chose ours. We grabbed some very cool mini pumpkins and some Indian corn and then The Prince found his PERFECT pumpkin.

All the minis and corn and Daddy's cool gourd(far right)

Daddy's extremely large green pumpkin

Mommy and The Prince's (Yes his is gray, and most definitely the coolest!)

The Princesses and the Munchkins

The Bulldozers pumpkin didn't make it. Somehow (???) it got a hole in the side and had to be thrown away yesterday after rotting slowly for 3 weeks.
We did have a great time, and it will be eve more fun next year when the boys are older. It really is so different now that they are 2. Besides the constant tantrums, we are getting to do more things with them that would NEVER have been attempted before. WE do still have our limits though.

Apples

We went apple picking a few weeks ago. The kids LOVED it!!! The princess talked about it for days "My favorite part of the day was picking apples" she would say. The twins had so much fun too and the Prince was so well behaved and helpful (I love that).

I never thought...

...that my husband was capable of this. I have always known that he is very good at MANY things but on this I totally doubted him. You might even say that I laughed at him and made fun of him. I even called the man "Farmer Brad"! Well now I owe him an apology. Farmer Brad grew sweet potatoes from the eyes of the potatoes that sat too long on our counter. We weren't sure if they were relly growing under there, but sure enough they are! We pulled these out too early but there is still another crop out there that we will allow to continue to grow. Good job Farmer Brad! (He has EARNED that title now!)

The backyard

I know I promised these a while ago, sorry as you can imagine I forget about things often. So here they are plus a new fabulous wall that was purchased on sale and built by my amazing husband. What in the world would I do without him? He now has to fix our dryer which still works but is very, very loud. This is the beautiful wall that will have plants behind it at a later date.

There are lots more plants to add to the side yard but we want them to live so we are waiting until it isn't 104 like it was this day.

It was so very sunny out when I took these. I made a mental note to take some at a better time of the day so you will probably see those in 3 months-just being honest here!

Today was a good day!

There was virtually no crying, well except when Daddy came home they decided to cry continuously! As Brad was leaving I thanked him for being so wonderful and working so hard so I can stay home with the kids. He said- thank you for staying home with them, so I don't have to! All the while they are screaming away behind us. So funny!

Here is a very sweet video of the princess doing what she does best, being a princess!
